Zack frowned slightly as he looked around, sighing slightly in a cross manner as he entered the city, large buster sword on his back. Today had been a rough day, killing all sorts of fiends outside the city. He was feeling a bit weary, and had wondered where Cloud had run off to when he spotted someone who looked vaguely familiar. “Ven?” He asked, before shaking his head. “No…Ven had blondish hair.”

Having once again left his home temporarily in favour of foreign lands and exploration, Sora wandered about the city’s streets, keeping an eye on his surroundings lest any unpleasant beings popped up. There were only a few people in sight, another having just walked in. Sora regarded him with a curious glance and was about to look away until he muttered a familiar name.
“You mean me?” he asked, pointing to himself. “I’m Sora.”

“Destiny Island? Sounds like a cheesy resort or sommat, yo.” Beat shrugged. Given his lack of interest in geography, it was entirely possible that it was a place on Earth he’d simply never heard about. “But fine, fine, I’ll quit sayin’ you’re in the circus. Even if ya look like it.”
So this guy didn’t even know where his home was in relation to here? “You lost then, man? You ain’t walkin’ ‘round like you’re lost.”
Sora’s first instinct was to defend his homeland, but his argument failed halfway as he realised that the other’s comment was at least partially true. A small smile curved his lips as he replied, “Okay, it does kinda sound cheesy, but it’s a great place. And I do not look like I come from the circus. I don’t even have face paint or anything!”
His answer to the question was not as straight forward as Sora would’ve liked it to be. His hands moved to rest in his pockets and his shoulders rose in a shrug. “Kind of; it’s more like I’m intentionally lost. Exploring and stuff, y’know?”

The latest storm had recently passed, leaving behind clear skies and a calm ocean, so Sora had naturally decided to visit the beach he’d played at as a child. It was mostly empty, save for a few children running about and causing general mischief, so he took it upon himself to wander up to the end of the sand and flop backwards rather gracelessly. He stretched his arms behind him and closed his eyes, only to open them again as the light above him was blocked.
With a small start that soon morphed into a grin, he said, “Hey, Selphie. Didn’t see ya there.”

The stranger wasn’t scary despite Beat’s initial reaction to him, just — weird. Apparently weird enough to believe that he wasn’t at all weird. And clearly foreign, if he only knew enough Japanese to refer to his home as “a different world”.
“Y’mean, like, China or Korea?” Beat asked, unable to attribute the young man’s appearance to any particular country. Who even used boats to travel anymore? “Or are ya from all the way over in America or somewheres? They got circuses, right?”
Sora’s brows drew together, a crease forming between them and confusion clear on his features. He shook his head slowly in response to the question, even though the words asked were unknown to him. He could only assume that they were lands he had yet to visit.
“Um, no, I don’t think so.” Just as he was about to clarify, the other spoke up again which caused him to release a huff of indignation. “I’ve been t’ America but I’m not from there. And I’m not from any circus either—geez! Haven’t ya heard of Destiny Islands? I don’t really know how far that is from here.”

Strange clothes, and strangely spiky, yet not completely unfamiliar, hair. Though he couldn’t claim it as his own, his blonde spikes seemed to stick up more than the others, though only by a fraction. He nodded calmly to the brunet, greeting him monotonously. “Hey there.”
A short moment was spared to flicker his gaze over the other’s form before Sora’s attention turned to more pressing matters. With a social ease that came naturally to him, he grinned to the man and raised his hand in a small wave. “Hi!”

“King Mickey? Royalty is all but extinct in my home world so my thoughts are proven right.” he jeered, eyes jutting upward to the statuesque citadel he fortuitously exposed. Lucid sapphires gleamed at it’s nobility, amazed and seduced by the theorization that extravagant trinkets lay within. A man of luxury he is; sassy and spruce whom cannot resist a chance to indulge. And so his sights would not avert from pallid brick. Where verdurous gardens could no longer hold his joyful attention and even the boy almost went blissfully ignored. A common habit this was to lose himself among daydreams. Perhaps common for an artist who allowed such fantasizes to govern the very course of his life. Behavior had been constructed by these illusions a young lad had conjured. Hooked by lore uttered by evening winds and deceived by legends that silver orchards hung upon their branches. Moonlight uncovered heroic myth that founded the love for his beloved epic, where runes and rhymes guided him upon a path to fame. Whether the road became beaten or not — it could not begrime his crush for halcyon dreams.
“I am not at all disheartened by being away from my home—” there came a pause, where a wry snicker exuded through roseate lips that would rather chime rhymes and recite stanza “— no matter, I need not think of home when I am captivated by the ventures that one can engage in here.” he added blithely where a smile eased his chuckling, cobalt grandeur cycling toward his newfound companion. Genesis could not let this opportunity slip idly by where his foolhardy heart was won by the aristocratic design of this place, stepping a little closer to the other with a fair distance left to remain as amber tresses languidly sway this way and that. Eyes aglow with mako secrets, one could not deny the alluring eagerness they cast.
“How does one meet this King Mickey then?” he whispered, perhaps a little daring but he wasn’t one to show fear. Too naive to learn of this strangers relation to the matriach first, he might as well leap to the inquiries rather than beat around the bush.
Sora awaited an answer patiently but it became apparent that he would not receive one. He noticed the somewhat dazed look in the other’s expression and the disregarding of Sora’s presence; a clear display of someone lost hopelessly in their thoughts. Sora, however, was not one to display rudeness, although he was also not one to tolerate it. With a roll of his eyes and an irritated sigh, he cocked his hips to side and placed a hand on it. His head tilted fractionally, observing the man. His attire was not entirely unusual; it could perhaps pass for normal in a few of the stranger areas of the world. His demeanour was that of a warrior, although Sora had a feeling he wasn’t the typical heroic type—in fact, few people were. He’d learnt long ago that distinguishing between good and bad was far harder than it seemed; there was a grey area in between that stretched almost endlessly.
“I guess you don’t get on too well with your world, huh?” Sora commented, his brows raised in questioning. He could understand that to some extent.
With his original plan laying in tatters, he decided to continue as he would in any other situation—simply make it up as he went along and hope that all things did not go as badly as they could. He was unsure of the policies in the castle regarding visitors—or perhaps trespassers—as he’d been invited for each of his visits. King Mickey was a kind soul, though, so he would not turn away a curious guest, even if they were a little unusual, and if things turned sour during their meeting, the guards patrolling the castle and its grounds were more than capable. There was little damage a man with limited ways home could achieve in such a well-guarded place.
He unconsciously took a step back, his eyes darting to the side briefly before meeting Genesis’s gaze. “Uh—through an invite, I guess. Or a meeting. I just usually turn up but I’m pretty sure I’m a special case—or somethin’ like that.” (Source: soradorablee)

Beat scowled; he didn’t like being laughed at. “No, I was jus’ looking. You‘re bein’ a spook!”
He looked the stranger up and down, previous interest in the skateboards behind him forgotten. His hair was even more ridiculous than Neku’s (if that was possible), and even for Shibuya, his get-up was quite outlandish. “You wit’ the circus or sommat, Spikes? The hell’d you come from?”
“No I’m not!” Sora exclaimed, a small pout forming on his lips. He was still under the belief that the other had just overreacted.
While his appearances on his homeland were hardly much cause for concern, he was aware that his somewhat unique style could be viewed as rather eccentric in the foreign lands he visited. With a huff, his hands settled on his hips, his eyebrows drawn in a frown. “No. I came from a different world. Y’know, on a ship.”

Beat peeked into window of the board shop, dreaming. Sometimes it was safer to look at all of the decks and clothes and skating accessories when they were separated by a thick pane of glass; his room was overflowing with the stuff as it was.
Suddenly, he caught a shadow behind him, reflected in the glass, and jumped. “BWAAAH—! Don’t sneak up like that!”

The streets he had been wandering through were not familiar to Sora, although he hadn’t really expected them to be. Luckily the culture was somewhat similar to those of places he had been previously so he managed to look as if he knew what he was doing. Shops lined the streets and Sora took the time to peer into each one, discovering what lay inside.
He hadn’t thought his brief pause outside one of the shops would cause much of a ruckus but apparently he’d been wrong. He took a small step back and held his hands up, laughing lightly. “Whoa! Uh, sorry—I was just looking.”
